Pastors / Elders

“Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in preaching and teaching.” 1 Timothy 5:17

Jon Mark Olesky - Senior Pastor
Pastor of Preaching and Leadership

Rev. Jon Mark Olesky has served The Cross Church as the founding and lead preaching pastor since 2008. A native of Pensacola, Jon Mark was converted to Christianity at age 18 and soon called to serve as Youth Pastor and missionary before being commissioned to plant and pastor The Cross Church.

After graduating with a Philosophy (B.A) degree from University of West FL, Pastor Olesky attended several seminaries before graduating from Reformed Baptist Theological Seminary (M.A).

He is currently in the doctoral program at Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary (DMin., Homiletics). He serves on the board of Trinitas Christian School and has published with Tabletalk magazine of Ligonier Ministries.

Jon Mark has been married for seventeen years to his wife, Priscila, and is the father of Noah, Cora, and Judah.

Kent Langham - Associate Pastor
Pastor
 of Discipleship and Counseling

Dr. Kent Langham has served as a staff pastor since the Cross Church called him to be an elder in June 2019.

Converted while in college at age 20, Kent sensed a strong desire to study and teach the Word of God and to serve the church as an overseer. Shortly after he and his wife joined The Cross in 2017, Kent began leading a community group and was eventually assessed and ordained as an elder.

Kent holds both his B.A and M.A in English-Literature from the University in West Florida, and in 2023, he received his Dedmin in Biblical Counseling from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Kent is a certified biblical counselor through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC) and is a Country Coordinator for Overseas Instruction in Counseling (OIC).

Kent has been married to his wife Molly for eight years and is father to Mackenna, Micah, and Emery.
